About Us

Hey ya'll, my name is Meghan! I was born in New Orleans, but raised in Nashville, TN. It's safe to say I'm southern born and bred. I like to also claim Texas as home. I mean I did go to college there for 4 years, so I practically lived there my whole life. I bleed purple. Am a Horned Frog for life. And will always hold my years in Texas close to my heart.

I love cooking, baking, traveling, being creative, developing my green thumb (this is more of a dream than a reality), eating delicious, mostly Paleo food (yes eating clean can be delicious!) and Crossfitting to keep all the food I consume in check. I'm a momma to the most precious pooch on the planet, wife and now a blogger.

My sweet husband's name is Gilbert. He and I met in downtown Nashville at the most classy establishment ever....no seriously ever. We lovingly refer to it as the "trailer park" place. We've been together ever since and have never looked back.

He was born in Alabama, spent part of his childhood in South Korea, and settled in Atlanta. So it's also safe to say he's southern born and bred as well. Ladies, there is nothing like a southern gentleman. He's a creative by trade, a SCAD Bee, and is always up for trying whatever new recipe or idea I may be testing. He's gone on this Paleo journey with me and pushed me to get started in Crossfit. A girl can only go to so many aerobics classes, right?

Hudson is our precious yellow Labrador retriever. We could not ask for a better pup. He loves peanut butter treats, going on walks after work, chasing balls and being a lap dog. Yes at almost 100 lbs he still thinks he's a lap dog. We love everything about him.....well except for his hair. But his sweet face and hugs make you forget all about the mountains of hair that pile up on the floor each week. We love him to pieces and he will always be our first baby!

We got married in 2012 in our most favorite city ever -- New York City. The energy, the lifestyle, and the food are some of the things we love most about the city. We try to take at least one trip per year up to the Big Apple. There really is no place like it!

I've started this blog to share our journey through home decorating, my adventures in cooking and baking Paleo, and maybe one day really developing that green thumb and having a garden. A girl can dream, right? I mean I have successfully killed a cactus before, so I'm not sure how that will go. Thanks for stopping by!
***Ya'll I must give a big shout out to Tahni of Joyeuse Photography for our wedding photography. She is seriously the best! We will always treasure the photos she captured of our special day!
